A professional in the field of visual arts for over 35 years, Shawn creates imagery  ranging from "primal art to surrealism", and all things between.  



Shawn grew up in Illinois,  Heartland of the Midwest.  Influenced by his Father (also an artist)  he began his creative journey at the age of 2 through the use of crayons and spaghetti sauce.  Recognizing his talent early on - Shawn's Mother enrolled him at the age of 10 in art classes at Augustana College.



Following his passion for Art Shawn pursued studies at Iowa Weslyan College with summer studies of Mayan & Aztec art in Mexico, tiring of cold MIdwest winters - he was drawn to the Ringling School of Design in Sarasota, FL.   There he immersed  himself in studies of illustration, sculpting, photography, and  old world masters' techniques of fine art.



Shawn's professional career includes Production Art Director at Chrishawn Art Studios,  Partner/Artist at Studio One, Scenic Production Artist at Feld Entertainment, and Freelance Mural Artist.

 

Working in many mediums, uninhibited by any one particular style, Shawn aspires to maintain a personal grace and balance in all of his works.  Many have been sold around the world, to galleries, corporations, theme parks, casinos, resorts, pro athletes, celebrities, private collectors, investors, designers, and residential clients.
